Shalini Arts

We are located over on Kings Road in Ranisati Nagar. It’s a pretty decent spot, though it gets a bit crowded during the rush hours. Our place is number 1149. We’ve been here for a bit now, doing all sorts of art-related work at Shalini Arts. It’s not a huge gallery or anything like that. It’s more of a place where things actually get made. You’ll see paint stains on the floor and stacks of canvases leaning against the walls. We spend most of our time just working on whatever project is on the table. Sometimes kids from the neighborhood come by to look, or someone needs something framed or painted for their house. We don't have a formal way of doing things. If someone walks in, we just put down our brushes and talk to them. It can get messy, especially when we are working with oils or large pieces that take up all the floor space. The light in the morning is really good for working, so we try to get most of the hard stuff done then. There’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small details that most people wouldn't notice. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the supplies, and other days it feels like there isn't enough room to move around. We like being part of the community here. It’s just a normal shop where we do what we enjoy and try to make a living.
