Sambharwala Sweets

You can find us at number 39 along Haldion Ka Rasta in Johari Bazar. This is an old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow and always filled with people. We have been here for a long time and the shop has seen a lot of history. The walls are thick and it stays a bit cooler inside than out on the street. We spend our days making traditional sweets and keeping the trays filled. It is a lot of manual work and we do most of it by hand just like it has always been done. The customers come from all over just to walk through these lanes. We see a lot of tourists but mostly it is local people who have been buying from us for years. The sound of bells from the nearby temples and the shouting of vendors is what we hear all day. We do not have much room for people to sit so they usually just buy what they need and move along. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little but we just keep the door guarded and continue our work. It is a simple life in a very old part of town. It is good that we are still here at the same address after so many years. It is just a regular sweet shop doing things the old way.
