Rama Art Palace

Rama Art Palace is located at 34 Hawa Mahal Road. We are lucky enough to be right opposite the Hawamahal itself, so we get to see that beautiful pink building every single day when we open the shutters. Our shop is also right next to the Shri Amrit Raghunath Ji Ka Mandir. Between the temple music and the tourists shouting, it’s a very lively spot to be in. We’ve got a lot of items packed into our space, mostly traditional art and things that catch the eye of people walking by. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use the vertical space as much as possible, with things hanging from the ceiling and stacked high on the shelves. It’s a family-run place, and we usually have someone standing near the front to chat with the people passing through. The heat can be tough in the afternoon, but the view of the palace makes up for it. We see thousands of people walk past our door every week. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean because of the exhaust from the buses on the main road. But we like the energy here. Being near the temple gives the place a good feeling, and we often hear the prayers while we are working on our inventory or talking to customers.
