Raghukul Pan Bhandar

Raghukul Pan Bhandar is located at P-89, right at the corner by the Laxmi Mandir Cinema on Tonk Road. It is a very well-known spot in this part of town, mostly because of the old cinema being right there as a landmark. Our shop is actually quite small, just providing enough room for us to stand and reach all the glass jars and fresh leaves we need for the day. We have been here for a long time, watching the movies change on the big screen across the street and seeing the city grow up around us. Every evening, the big crowd from the theater comes pouring out and many of them stop by our counter for a minute. We spend a lot of the daytime preparing our ingredients, cleaning the betel leaves, and making sure the lime paste is just the right consistency. It is a very fast-paced kind of job when a popular movie lets out and everyone wants a pan at once. We don't have a fancy seating area or any place for people to lounge around. Most customers just stand on the sidewalk for a bit and then move on to wherever they are going. The traffic on Tonk Road is always moving, so it is never really quiet at this corner. We have all the different kinds of tobacco and sweet pans, and we know exactly where every single item is kept in our little wooden cabinets.
