You can find us at House No. 150, on the ground floor of Haldiya House in Johari Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Johari Bazar, you know how narrow and crowded the lanes are. It’s a very old part of the city, and our shop has been part of it for a long time. The building itself has a lot of character, with thick walls and small windows. We are Puranmal Shankar Lal, and we’ve been here through many changes in the market. It’s not a big, modern showroom with bright lights. Instead, it’s a bit cramped and full of history. We sit on the floor or on low stools most of the day. Neighbors often drop by just to say hello or have a quick cup of tea. It’s a traditional way of doing things that hasn't changed much since my grandfather’s time. The noise from the street is always there, with the rickshaws and the tourists walking past. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. People know us by word of mouth and because we've been in Haldiya House forever. We handle our business in a very straightforward way. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done in the heart of the old bazaar. There is a sense of rhythm to the day here that you don't find in the newer parts of town.
