Primitive Arts

We are located on Hawa Mahal Road, right across from the Hawa Mahal itself and near the Raghunath Temple. Being in such a famous spot means we see a lot of faces every day at Primitive Arts. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected and put on the shelves over time. It’s not very big, but we try to keep it organized so people can walk around. Most of the time, it's just us dusting the items or talking to visitors who wandered in after looking at the monuments. The view outside is great, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We have different pieces made of wood, metal, and other stuff. Some things are old and others are just made to look that way. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just open the doors and see who comes by. Living and working near the temple means we hear the bells and the morning prayers while we set up. It's a nice atmosphere to work in. Sometimes it gets really packed with tourists on the street, and other days it's just us sitting here. We like the history of this area and how our shop fits into the old part of the street. People often stop by just to ask for directions, and we end up showing them our collection instead. It is a bit dusty because of the open door, but that's normal for this road. We just keep things moving as they come, slowly and without any hurry.
