Prakash Arts is located right at the Ivth Crossing on Khazane Walon Ka Rasta. It’s a busy little spot. We do a lot of hand-done work here, so the place is usually covered in paint smudges and scraps of material. My hands are rarely clean by the time I go home for dinner. People come to us for all sorts of artistic things, mostly because they know we’ve been here at this crossing for years. The shop isn't very big, and we’ve definitely outgrown the space, but we make it work. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with finished pieces and half-started projects. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when we have a big order on the floor. The street outside is always crowded with people and scooters, which adds to the chaos. We don’t have a fancy business plan. We just open the doors in the morning and start working on whatever needs finishing. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days we can’t keep up with the walk-ins. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but it’s a creative mess. We like the neighborhood and the other shopkeepers around the crossing. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us, making things that people want to put in their homes. We don't worry about being perfect, we just focus on doing the work we enjoy.
