Prajapati Silver Arts

Our place, Prajapati Silver Arts, is tucked away in the Jamunapuri area of Murlipura. It’s not far from the Jaipur G P O if you’re coming from that side of town. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice when you are trying to concentrate on small details. We have been here for a good while now, and the shop feels like a second home. The walls have a few scuffs and the floor isn't perfectly level, but it’s where we do all our silver work. There is usually a bit of silver dust on everything by the end of the day. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the one we've always had. People find us by word of mouth mostly. We keep the front door open to catch the breeze, though it mostly just lets in the dust. The neighbors know us well, and we often stop for a quick chat when the mail comes. It’s a very simple setup. We have our workbenches and some old chairs for when someone drops by to visit. There’s no rush here, things take as long as they take. Working with silver isn't something you can speed up anyway. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish, watching the street lights come on in Jamunapuri. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day after day, in this little corner of Murlipura.
