Our shop is tucked away in Jodan Nagar Durgapura, and if you aren't looking closely, you might walk right past the front door. Inside, it’s mostly just glass counters filled with silver rings, chains, and various trinkets we’ve collected over time. We spend a lot of our mornings dusting the displays because the road outside gets quite a bit of traffic and the dust just settles everywhere. It’s a small space, so when more than three people come in at once, it starts feeling a bit crowded for everyone. Most of the jewelry comes from local smiths we’ve known for years, so we know exactly where things are from. We don’t have those bright, blinding lights you see in the big city malls; we just use regular bulbs that make the silver look like it actually does in real life. Sometimes we sit in the back and do small repairs when a hinge breaks or a stone comes loose on a piece. Durgapura is a busy area, but our corner feels a bit slower than the main road. People from the neighborhood often drop by to see what’s new or to get something old polished up. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything, and it’s getting pretty thick now. There’s no big team here, just a couple of us who know about silver and enjoy being around the shop. It is a quiet way to make a living and we stay busy enough.
