Kailash Silver Crafts

If you are walking through Chandpole Bazar, you have to look for Vallabh Bhawan. We are on the first floor there, right near the 2nd crossing of Rasta Jat Ka Kuan. It is a busy part of the city, always crowded with people and scooters zig-zagging around. Our space at number 1658 is where all the silver work happens. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you are inside, it is a bit quieter than the street below. We have been working with silver crafts here for a long time. The desks are usually covered in small tools and bits of metal. It is not a polished office, it is a workshop first. We spend most of our hours sitting at the benches, making things or fixing pieces that come in. The light isn't always the best, so we use these old lamps to see the fine details. You can hear the sounds of the market coming through the windows all day. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall downstairs. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to this bazar for decades. They know where we are, even though there are no big signs outside. It is just a regular silver shop doing regular work. We don't try to be anything else or act like we are better than the other shops on the street. It’s just how it is.
