Gargi Silver Arts

You’ll find Gargi Silver Arts on Lohamandi Road, over in the Rameshwar Dham Vistar area. We are quite close to the railway station in Bainar, which makes it easy for people traveling through to stop by. We work with silver, making various items and pieces. It’s a bit of a dusty road outside, but inside we try to keep things a bit cleaner so the silver doesn't tarnish too fast. The shop is small and packed with glass cases. We don't have a lot of help, usually just a family member or a close friend helping out. It’s not like those big showrooms in the city. Here, you can actually see where we sit and work on the pieces. Sometimes the light isn't great, but we have some extra lamps for the detail work. We get a lot of noise from the trains passing by, but after a while, you don't even notice it anymore. People come to us when they want something traditional. We don't have a glossy catalog or a big marketing plan. We just show what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we are still working on a piece when a customer walks in. We use old-style tools that have been passed down. It's a slow process, and we don't rush it. The neighborhood knows us as the silver shop near the station, and that's usually enough for us to keep the doors open.
