Pinnacle Gems

Pinnacle Gems is tucked away at 946, Khuteton Ka Rasta right in the heart of K.P. Bazar. If you are familiar with this area, you know exactly how narrow the lanes are and how busy it stays with all the different gem traders moving about. Our place is very much a part of that long-standing tradition. We are located up a flight of stairs in a building that has probably been around much longer than I have. The rooms are quite small, but they are filled with history and a whole lot of different stones. We spend the majority of our day with loupes pressed right up to our eyes, checking for tiny inclusions and the way the light hits the facets. It is tedious work, but it is also very peaceful in its own way once you get into the flow. The market outside is a total contrast, with people shouting out prices and carts moving through the crowds. We have many regulars who have been coming to see us at this same spot for several decades now. We always offer them some water or a cup of tea while we talk about the current market prices and news. Our desks are made of old wood that has been worn down by years of elbows and piles of paper. It is not the kind of place with air conditioning or sleek furniture. We just focus on the gems.
