Pearl Heritage

We are over at 295 in the Awho Colony area of Ambabari. It’s a nice enough place to work, quite calm compared to the main city markets. Pearl Heritage is what we call the business, mostly because we deal with things that have a bit of history to them. My father started this years ago, and I just sort of fell into it after school. We don’t have a massive team, just a few of us sitting around the big table sorting through pieces. Sometimes the lighting isn't great, so we have to move closer to the window. People come by to see what we have, mostly neighbors or friends of friends. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. It’s more about the individual items we find and keep here. The colony is quiet in the afternoons, which is when we get most of the sorting done. You can hear the birds outside while we work. We keep the books manually mostly, though my daughter says we should use a tablet for everything now. I guess she’s right, but the old way feels more natural. There’s a lot of talk about "heritage" these days, but for us, it’s just the stuff we’ve always handled. We keep it simple. If you find the right house number, you’ll find us. Usually, there’s a pot of tea going and some old radio playing in the background while we work.
