Patwari Namkeen Bhandar is right in the heart of Johari Bazar, specifically at 6 Gheewalon Ka Rasta. If you’ve ever walked down that lane, you probably smelled the frying before you even saw us. It’s always a bit crowded here. Johari Bazar is never quiet, and our little corner is no different. We spend most of our time in the back where the big pans are going. The heat gets quite intense in the afternoons, but you get used to it after a few years. We sell all sorts of namkeen and snacks, and usually, by the evening, the jars are starting to look a bit empty. It’s a lot of work keeping up with what people want. Sometimes the regulars come by just to chat for a minute while they wait for their packet of sev or whatever we’ve got fresh that day. We don’t have any big posters or bright lights, just the old counter and the scales. The address is easy to find if you know Gheewalon Ka Rasta. It’s a tight squeeze for bikes, and even tighter for people, but somehow everyone makes it through. We’ve had the same staff for a long time, so we all know where everything is without looking. It’s just a normal shop doing what we do every single day from morning until we lock up at night. We don't worry about being fancy, we just focus on the work.
