Pandit Arts

We are tucked away at number 13 in Surya Nagar, near the Jaipur GPO. It’s a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main markets, which is nice for the kind of work we do. Pandit Arts has been around this neighborhood for a long time. Our space is filled with all sorts of materials and half-finished pieces, so you have to be careful where you step. There’s usually a bit of dust or paint smell in the air depending on what we are working on that week. It’s not a polished gallery or anything; it’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. We spend most of our hours sitting on the floor or at low benches working with our hands. Sometimes the light isn't great in the back room, so we move closer to the front door. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or just happen to walk past and see us working on something interesting. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually end up in the evenings to chat about the day. It’s a slow-paced kind of life here, but we stay busy enough. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule; we just start in the morning and keep going until the work is done for the day or we run out of daylight.
