Ocean Art Gallery is at 130, Kishanpole Bazar. The market here is always crowded with carts and motorcycles all day long. We’ve been here at this address for quite some time now. The shop is narrow but it goes back quite a way into the building. We have frames and pictures leaning against almost every wall in the place. Sometimes you have to step very carefully so you don't knock anything over. My grandfather originally opened this place because he liked art, and now it’s my turn to look after everything. I’m usually here from ten in the morning until late in the evening. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of paint and old paper. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it's on high. We have a lot of regular customers who come by just to see if we have anything new. Sometimes I don't have anything new for weeks at a time. It mostly depends on when the local artists bring things in for us. Kishanpole is a busy area, so there's always something happening right outside the door. We keep a teapot in the back for when friends drop in. It’s a bit disorganized, but I know where everything is kept. If you ask for something, I can usually find it in a couple of minutes if you have the patience.
