Naveen Sweets

Our place is out on the Jhotwara Factory Area Road. It’s a bit of a dusty area with all the trucks and factories nearby. Because of where we are, we get a lot of workers coming in during their breaks. They’re usually in a hurry to get back to the shifts, so we try to be quick. The road outside is always busy with heavy vehicles, so it can get pretty noisy during the day. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a plain shop where we make things and sell them. The kitchen is right there and you can hear the pans clanking all the time. We start working early to get everything ready for the lunch rush. It gets really warm inside during the summer months, but that’s just part of being near the factories. Naveen Sweets has been at this location for a good bit now. We know most of the people who work in the nearby units by their first names. We don’t spend money on fancy bags or marketing stuff. We just put the items in plain containers and that’s it. Some days are slower than others, especially when the factories are closed for holidays. But usually, it’s just a steady stream of people looking for something to eat. We like being part of the Jhotwara community. It’s a hard-working area and we fit right in with that.
