Narbadis Gallery

Our gallery is located at number 16 in Geejgarh Vihar, right off Hawa Sarak. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the noise of the main road. Narbadis Gallery is basically a project that turned into a full-time job for us over time. We don't have a lot of fancy lights or a big reception desk to greet people. It’s mostly just walls covered in paintings and shelves holding various crafts we've picked up. We spend a lot of time just rearranging things to make room for new arrivals that show up. Sometimes we sit in the back and have tea while we talk about what needs to be done for the day. It’s not a high-pressure environment at all. We like to take our time and look at the details of the things we sell. Hawa Sarak is a busy part of town, so it’s nice to have this space tucked away in the Vihar. We’ve been here for a while and most of the local people know where we are. We don't do any advertising. People usually just find us by accident or because they were looking for something specific for their home. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us handling everything from the cleaning to the sales. We don't have any grand statements to make about the art world. We just pick things we think are interesting and put them on display. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here.
