Milk Raj Sweets & Namkeen

We're over on Tonk Road, right at the Govind Nagar Mode, at C-9. It’s a good spot because everyone has to pass by here eventually. Milk Raj Sweets & Namkeen has been here through many seasons, watching the road get wider and the buildings get taller over time. We focus a lot on dairy because that’s what we know best. Every morning the milk arrives and the whole place starts moving. It’s a bit of a cramped shop with all the containers and the displays, but we make it work. We have a few regulars who come in every single morning just to check what’s fresh and have a bit of a talk about the weather or the news. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people seeing us when they wait for the light to change at the mode. The cooling fridge has a bit of a rattle to it and the floor tiles are worn down from all the walking, but it shows we’ve been busy. We don't try to act like we are better than any other shop on Tonk Road. We just do our work, pack the boxes, and keep the change ready for customers. It gets pretty hot in the summer since we are facing the sun for most of the afternoon, but we just keep the fans going. It’s a decent way to live, serving the people of Govind Nagar and anyone else driving by.
