Meenu Arts

Meenu Arts is located at 9-A on M I Road in Karni Nagar, over in the Jhotwara area. We are pretty close to Tara Nager B. Our space is filled with all sorts of things we’ve made or are currently working on. It’s not a very tidy place because there’s always some project going on, whether it's painting or carving or something else. We use our hands all day long. There’s usually dust from whatever material we’re using and the smell of paint or glue in the air. We don’t have a big corporate office; it’s more like a workshop where people can come and see what we’re actually doing. Some people come in looking for a specific gift, and others just want to see the local work being done. We talk to our neighbors and the other shopkeepers around Jhotwara a lot. It’s a friendly enough spot for a workshop. We’ve been here for a while, just doing our thing and trying to make pieces that look decent and solid. We don’t follow a very strict schedule; if a piece needs more time to dry or finish, it just gets more time. It’s a bit disorganized at times, but that’s just the way we work. We aren't trying to be a big gallery, just a local spot for art. People find us when they are walking by or if a friend told them where to go. It is just a simple life making things.
