Mc Donald'S

Working here in Malviya Nagar is pretty non-stop from the moment we open. This McDonald's stays busy because there are so many people living and shopping in this part of town. We start our shifts by putting on the uniforms and checking all the machines in the back. Everything has a timer or a loud beep, so it is a lot of noise in the kitchen all day long. Sometimes the ice cream machine acts up, which is annoying for us and the customers too. We spend hours standing on our feet, taking orders and bagging food as fast as we can. It is not a quiet or relaxing job. During lunch, the line gets really long, and people start looking at their watches because they are in a rush. We try to move fast, but sometimes things just take time to cook right. We clean the lobby every hour because kids drop fries and spill drinks on the floor constantly. It is a never-ending cycle of mopping and wiping. The staff room is quite small, so we take our breaks in turns throughout the day. We talk about our families or what we are doing after we finally get off work. Malviya Nagar is a good area, though the traffic is a mess in the evenings. We see the same regulars who come in every Tuesday or Thursday. It is funny how people have routines like that. We just want to get home and sit down.
