Our shop is tucked away in Kishan Pole Bazar, at number 165. If you have ever walked through this part of the city, you know how crowded and lively it gets. We have been here for years, dealing with traditional ornaments and silver pieces that people in this neighborhood like. It is a small space, filled with glass cases and the smell of old wood. My brother and I run the place most days. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who stop by, some looking for a gift and others just wanting to fix a broken chain. We do not have a big team or anything, just us. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and noise, but it feels like home to us. We keep things simple. There is no big glossy catalog, just what you see in the counter. Sometimes we get busy during the wedding season, and then it is a bit of a scramble to keep everything organized. People around here know us as the place to get honest work done without too much fuss. We open up early and stay until the shutters go down on the rest of the street. It is a steady life, really. We see the same faces every week. It is not about being the biggest shop in the bazar, just about being there when someone needs a bit of jewelry or a repair. It is a simple way to spend the day.
