Kumawat Arts is right on the Udaipuria Main Market Road. Being on the main road means there is always someone passing by. You see the motorbikes and the cows and the people going about their shopping. We have our little shop set up there. The name Kumawat is our family name, so we take the work seriously even if we don't act like a big corporation. We do different kinds of art and craft work. It depends on what people are asking for that month. Udaipuria is a lively place. The market road is the heart of it. We keep our doors open so people can see us working inside. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass cases. Everything is just laid out on tables or leaning against the walls. Some days we spend more time talking to neighbors than actually working, but that’s part of being in a market. The air is full of the smell of street food and exhaust. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We use local materials mostly. Nothing too expensive or imported. We just like making things that people in the area might want for their homes. If you are walking down the Main Market Road, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a place where we do our art.
