Kishan Misthan Kendra

At Kishan Misthan Kendra, we’ve been operating out of Ramganj Bazar at house number 292 for quite a while. We are a sweet shop, plain and simple. Every morning we start with the milk deliveries and get the stoves going. Ramganj is a busy area, and there’s always someone stopping by for a quick bite or some sweets to take home. Our shop isn't very large, so things can get a bit cramped when several people come in at once. We don't have any fancy decorations or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s just a place where we make traditional sweets the way we learned how to do it. We use a lot of sugar and ghee, and the floors sometimes show it despite our cleaning. The staff consists of a few people who have been with us through everything. We don't have a website or do any of that modern marketing stuff. If you live in Ramganj, you’ve probably walked past us a thousand times. We just try to keep the quality consistent so people don't complain. It’s hard work, standing by the heat all day, but it’s what we do. We open early and close when the trays are empty or it’s time to go home. It's a tiring job but seeing the same faces every day makes it feel like it is worth the effort we put in during the peak hours.
