Khanna Provision

Our store, Khanna Provision, is located at C-44 in Raja Park. It’s a typical neighborhood grocery shop where we stock all the daily essentials people need for their kitchens. The shelves are quite tall and we try to squeeze in as many items as possible, from bags of flour to small packets of spices. It gets busy in the mornings when folks are buying things for breakfast and again in the evenings when they realize they forgot something for dinner. We spend a lot of time checking expiry dates and putting new stock out. There’s always a bit of dust because of the street outside, so we’re often seen with a duster in hand. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s not a supermarket with bright lights and scanners; we mostly just count things up and put them in bags. The space behind the counter is a bit cramped with all the extra boxes, but it’s home to us. Sometimes we run out of change, so we have to ask the neighbor shop for some. It’s a simple life of serving the community and making sure the pantry staples are always available for whoever stops by our spot in Raja Park. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day.
