Jyoti Misthan Bhandar

Jyoti Misthan Bhandar is located on Ganeshji Road over in Virat Nagar. We’ve been here for quite some time now, making sweets for the local families and the people visiting the nearby temple. The shop is pretty basic with just some glass counters and a few fans on the ceiling to keep the air moving. We make our sweets in the back room using traditional methods, so nothing is automated. You can usually hear the sound of milk boiling in the big vats. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just make sure the jalebis are hot in the morning and the laddoos are fresh. Sometimes we run out of things early if there's a festival or a wedding in town. The paint on the front of the shop is peeling a little bit from the sun, but the kitchen is kept as clean as we can manage. We serve tea in small glasses for the people who want to sit for a minute. It’s a family-run business, so you’ll usually see one of us at the register. We aren't a high-end boutique, just a local sweet shop. We know most of our customers by their faces, even if we don't know all their names. It’s a simple way to make a living here in Virat Nagar. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day.
