Jks Architects

Our office is over on the first floor of Krishna Tower in the Heera Nagar area of Jaipur. It’s near Ajmer Road and DCM, so it’s a spot most people in Vaishali Nagar know quite well. Jks Architects is really just a group of us who enjoy the work. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the city or anything like that. We just show up, open the windows, and start looking at blueprints. The office gets a lot of sun in the afternoon, which is nice but can get a bit warm during the summer months. We have a lot of paper everywhere, mostly sketches and notes from different projects. It’s not the tidiest place, but we can find whatever we need in a minute or two. We like being in this part of Jaipur because it’s easy to get to different sites from here. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or drawing on the computers. We don't use a lot of fancy words when we talk to people. We just tell them what can be done and what can't. It’s more honest that way. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, eating snacks and trying to get the lines right on the screen. We’re just regular people who happen to know a lot about buildings and how to put them together.
