Jaipur Art Gallery & Craft Emporium

Our place is located in Johari Bazar, specifically above shops 156 and 157. It is quite close to Jama Maszid, so it is usually a very busy area with people coming and going all day. Being upstairs means we are a little away from the main street noise, but you can still hear the hustle from below. We have a lot of different crafts and art pieces sitting around the rooms. It is not perfectly organized, to be honest. There are stacks of things here and there. Some are old, some are new. We spend a lot of time just moving items around or helping someone find a specific piece they saw last time they visited. The light in the gallery is okay, but it gets warm in the afternoons. Johari Bazar is a famous spot, and we have been in this specific corner for a long time. People usually find us by looking for the sign near the mosque. We do not do much advertising. Most folk just walk in because they were nearby or someone told them about the items we keep. It is a lot of wood, some fabric, and various handmade things. We just keep the doors open and see who stops by. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but that is part of the experience of being in this old part of the city. We don't mind the clutter much and just enjoy being part of the bazar.
