Indian Art House

We've been here at Khawas Ji Ka Rasta for a while now. Being right on Hawa Mahal Road means there is always a lot of noise and people walking by, but we like it that way. Indian Art House isn't some big fancy corporation. It’s just us working with things we know. Most days involve a lot of dusting and making sure everything is where it should be. The street gets crowded, especially during the tourist season, and sometimes it's hard to even get through the front door. We keep the shop open pretty regular hours. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit in as much as we can. My father started this or maybe it was just a small stall before, I don't remember exactly when it became a proper shop. We handle different kinds of local items. Nothing is perfect here, some things have small marks because they aren't made by machines. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sitting near the entrance chatting with the neighbors. It's just how life is in this part of the city. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people just wander in because they are looking at the palace nearby. The building itself is quite old and the walls need a bit of paint, but it stays cool inside even when the sun is really hot out on the road. We just do our work and go home.
