Our shop is at A-26 in Bajaj Nagar. If you live around here, you probably pass by us every day. We start pretty early in the morning when the air is still cool. That's when we get the milk delivered and start the stoves. It gets hot inside once the frying starts. The usual stuff you’d expect at a sweet shop is what we make. Some days are busier than others, like during festivals when everyone wants the same thing at once. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, but our spot stays mostly the same. There’s a bit of a rush in the evenings when people are heading home from work and want a little snack. Cleaning the counters and washing the big metal trays takes up a lot of time. It's a lot of standing on your feet all day. If the fridge acts up or we run out of an ingredient, someone has to run out and get it quickly. It’s just the two or three of us working most shifts. A big fancy sign isn't something we have, just the name above the door. People usually know us by the smell of the sugar syrup or the snacks being cooked. It's a simple life, just making sure the trays are full and the customers are fed. Fresh food and a clean shop are what we focus on every morning.
