Gulab Villa

Gulab Villa is sitting right on the Gopalpura Bypass in Jaipur. It’s in the Dr Rajendra Prasad Nagar area, which has seen a lot of growth lately. If you are looking for us, we are near the Dharam Kanta. The bypass is always full of heavy trucks and people traveling between cities, so it’s never really quiet here. You can hear the engines roaring at all hours of the night. The villa itself is a bit of an older building. It has its quirks, like a door that squeaks if you don't pull it just right and some light switches that are a bit temperamental. We don't try to hide that it’s an older place. It feels real, like a house that has been lived in. The dust from the road is a constant battle, but we try our best to keep it out. We don't have a big corporate team running things. It’s just us taking care of the property and making sure guests have a place to stay. Jaipur gets incredibly hot, so the shade from the building is always welcome in the afternoons. We aren't looking to be the most famous spot in the city. We just want to provide a decent service to whoever stops by on their way through. The neighborhood is mostly residential now, but the bypass still keeps things feeling like we are on the edge of everything. It's a simple life out here near the Dharam Kanta.
