Gems Trading Center

Our place is in N. K. Tower, over in Purohit Ji Ka Bagh. It’s just off Gopinath Marg, near M.I. Road. The building is always busy, people coming and going at all hours. We’ve been in this tower for a few years now. The office itself is nothing to brag about, just a functional space with a lot of drawers and a very heavy door. We spend a lot of our day just sorting through different parcels. It’s a lot of squinting and sorting, day in and day out. Sometimes the tea we get from the shop downstairs is the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t really do any big advertising. Most of our business is just people we’ve known for a long time who know where to find us. We keep a ledger on the main desk that’s getting pretty thick. My assistant, Rahul, usually handles the logging of everything while I talk to the traders. It can get a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but you get used to it. The view from the window is just another building, so there isn’t much to look at except the stones. We stay until the work is finished, which sometimes means we’re here a bit later than we planned. It’s just a normal trading office, nothing more and nothing less. We don't have a website or anything like that.
