So, we're located over here at 1187 Parianiyon Ka Rasta. If you know Johari Bazar, you know how loud and busy it gets every single afternoon. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, tucked into Hirawaion Ka Chowk. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of small paper packets scattered around. Most days start the same way. We open up the shutters, get the lights on, and wait for the chai man to come by with the first round of tea. Usually, we're just sorting through stones or making phone calls to people we’ve known for twenty years. It’s a lot of sitting and looking through loupes until our eyes get tired. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s not a fancy setup, but it works for what we do. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first started, but the stones stay the same. People come in and out, asking about prices or looking for something specific they saw somewhere else. We just try to get the work done and go home when the sun goes down. There’s always more to do tomorrow anyway. It’s a simple life here in the bazar, and we like it that way.
