We are based at 163 Viman Vihar Colony, right near the toll tax on Tonk Road. It’s a busy intersection area, especially with Govindpura Road right there too. I have been working out of this office in Jaipur for quite some time. Architecture is one of those jobs where you are never really finished learning. Every new house or building has its own set of problems to solve. I spend my time drafting plans and making sure all the dimensions are right. It is a lot of quiet work at a desk, followed by visits to dusty building sites. The colony here is a good spot for us. People from around the neighborhood often drop in to ask about renovations or new builds. We don't do anything too fancy or over the top. We just focus on making sure a building is safe and looks like what the owner wanted. Tonk Road can be a nightmare for traffic, but it makes us easy to find. My office is usually stacked with papers and old project files. There is always a lot of paperwork with this kind of job. I don't really believe in making things sound more important than they are. It’s just about getting the drawings right so the builders know what to do. That is how we have always operated here at Geetanjali. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every single day.
