Food Processing

Our place is at 127, Paras Hari Marg. It is a simple building, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We focus on food processing, which basically means a lot of sorting, cleaning, and packing. The street outside can get quite busy with people walking by. Inside, we try to keep everything as orderly as possible. It is a lot of manual work. You won’t find any big corporate suits here. Just regular people doing their jobs. We have been on Hari Marg for quite some time. The neighborhood knows the smell of whatever we are working on that day. Sometimes it is spices, other times it is grains. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the work being done. The equipment needs a lot of looking after. We spend a good part of the morning just getting everything ready for the day's run. It can get a bit loud when the machines are all going at once. We usually eat lunch together in the back room. It’s a tight-knit group of workers here. We don't really bother with long-term plans or big speeches. We just look at what needs to be processed today and we do it. By the time we lock up in the evening, we are all pretty tired, but it’s a living. We try to keep the floors swept and the bags sealed tight. It takes everyone doing their part to keep things moving.
