E.B. Machanism Pvt. Ltd is set up at 154 Road, No. 5 in the Industrial Area. It’s a place where you expect to see gray buildings and heavy trucks. Our unit is exactly like that. The floors are concrete and stained with oil from the various mechanisms we put together. It’s a cold place in the winter and very hot when the sun hits the metal roof in May. We don't have many visitors who aren't delivery drivers or mechanics. Most of the day is spent handling metal parts and making sure the machines are calibrated right. It’s noisy work, and we often have to wear earplugs to keep our heads from ringing by the time five o'clock rolls around. There is a small office area blocked off with some plywood, but even there, you can feel the vibration of the floor when the big presses are running. We keep our tools organized on a big shadow board, though things often go missing when we get really busy. Lunch is usually eaten sitting on crates or at the small table in the back. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make the place look pretty for photos. It’s just a functional space where we work with our hands and try to keep everything running smoothly. The industrial area is a tough place to work, but we’ve made our home here on Road No. 5 for quite a while now.
