Chilly Sauce

We’ve been over here on Ajmer Road in Vidhyadhar Nagar for quite a while now. Most people know the spot because it's easy to find. Chilly Sauce is basically just us doing what we know how to do. It started out small and stayed that way, which works for us. We spend most of our time getting things ready and making sure the jars are filled up. It can get pretty busy during the middle of the day but we try to keep up with everyone who stops by. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it's mostly just crates and the smell of spices. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the entrance for a few minutes but neighbors are used to it by now. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just hear about us from their friends or family. If you're driving down towards the main intersection, you'll see the sign hanging out front. It’s a bit faded from the sun but it’s still there. We mostly just focus on the daily work and making sure we have enough stock for the week ahead. It’s a simple setup. We like it being a local thing where we know the faces that walk in. Nothing too complicated, just a regular business on the side of the road. We’ve seen the road change quite a bit since we first opened. The traffic has gotten heavier, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It’s a family effort for the most part. It’s just us making decisions over tea. Some days the weather makes it hard, but we stay open anyway. We don't have a fancy website. You just have to come by and see what we’ve got. It’s a very old-school way of doing things, and we like it that way.
