Krishna Namkeen & Gajak Bhandar

Krishna Namkeen & Gajak Bhandar is our family shop located at No. 311, Mishra Ji Ka Rasta. You can find us at the third chowraha in Chandpole Bazar. We have been in this spot for years, making traditional snacks that people in this part of the city seem to enjoy. During the winter months, we are especially busy making gajak with sesame and jaggery. You can usually smell the sweetness from the street when we are cooking. The shop itself is quite small and the walls are old, but it is home to us. We have a lot of regulars who stop by to pick up a bag of namkeen on their way home from work. We do not have a big factory or any automatic machines; most of what we do is done by hand in the back. It is hard work, especially standing over the heat, but it is what we know how to do. Chandpole Bazar is a very crowded place, and sometimes it is hard to even get through the street, but that is just part of the atmosphere here. We keep our prices fair and our portions decent. We are not interested in being a big brand, we just want to keep making our snacks the same way our father did. (236 words)
