Captive Misthan Bhandar

Captive Misthan Bhandar is located right near Gandhi Circle on Lalsot Road. We’ve been making traditional sweets here for quite a long time. The kitchen stays very busy, especially during the festival seasons when everyone wants something special. I remember helping my uncle in the back when I was much younger, and not much has changed since then. We still use the same big pots and the same recipes that have been passed down. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and stirring over a hot flame, which can be exhausting in the summer months. The shop floor is simple, with glass cases to show what we’ve made for the day. We don’t have fancy packaging, just the usual boxes and bags. People from all over Lalsot come by, especially on Sunday mornings. We try to keep up with the demand, but sometimes we sell out of the popular items by noon. That’s just the way it is when you make things fresh every day. We aren't trying to be a modern cafe, just a traditional sweet shop that people can rely on. Being near Gandhi Circle means it’s always lively outside. We like the noise and the energy of the street. It’s been our home for years and we plan to stay here for many more. We keep the shutters open from early morning until late at night to serve the local crowd that passes by Gandhi Circle on their way to or from work.
