Our place is located at C-14 in the Chandpole area, right near the Anaj Mandi. Birdhii Chand Chiranji Lal Jain & Sons has been a family name around here for quite a long time. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the market really gets going. We deal with a lot of grain and other staples, which means there’s always dust in the air and heavy bags being moved around. The shop isn't modern by any means, but it’s solid. We’ve been through many seasons, some good and some lean. Working in the Mandi means you see all sorts of people every day. We spend most of our hours talking to farmers and traders, trying to get things sorted out. It’s not always easy, and sometimes the prices change so fast it’s hard to keep up. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can come and talk to us face to face. My sons help out now, which is good because there is a lot of lifting and bookkeeping to do. We just try to stay honest and do our work without making a big fuss. The building is old, and the street is narrow, but we manage to fit everything in. It’s loud and hectic during peak hours, but that’s the life of the market. We just keep going day by day here in the city.
