Balaji Sweets

You can find Balaji Sweets right outside the Dher Ke Balaji Mandir on Sikar Road. It’s a very busy spot because of the temple. We get a lot of people who are either going into the mandir or coming out, and they often want to take something with them. The shop is constantly filled with the sound of traffic from Sikar Road and the bells from the temple. We spend a lot of time packing small boxes of sweets that people use for offerings. It’s a simple operation, really. We don’t have any polished brochures or fancy uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters. The morning is the busiest time when the devotees arrive in large numbers. We make sure the laddoos and pedas are ready before the first crowd hits. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like being near the temple. The atmosphere is different here than in a regular market. We’ve been at this Sikar Road location for years, and we know most of the people who work around the mandir. We just focus on keeping the trays full and managing the line when it gets long. It’s just us doing our part near the temple at Balaji Sweets. We don't think much about it, we just keep the shop running.
