You can find us at H-133 Bal Nagar, right behind the BPL Dipo on Goner Road in Jhotwara. It's a bit of a tucked-away spot, but we like it that way. We spend most of our time working with clay and the kilns. The place is usually covered in a fine layer of dust from the pottery work. We have shelves filled with different pieces, some finished and some just waiting for the fire. It’s a very hands-on job. There are always several people working on wheels or shaping things by hand. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the kilns are running or we are moving crates around. We don't have a big sign out front, so you have to look for the address. Most of the people who work here live nearby in Jhotwara. We’ve been doing this for a long time and the techniques haven't changed much. Sometimes a piece breaks in the oven, which is frustrating, but it’s just part of the craft. We don't worry about making everything look perfect for a gallery. We just make things that people can use or enjoy in their homes. The workspace is a bit cluttered with tools and buckets of water. It’s a real working pottery shop, not a tourist stop. We just enjoy the work and the smell of wet earth in the mornings when we start the day.
