Bajaj Supari Corner

Our little corner is at 129-A in Bapu Bazar. If you know the market, you know it’s a tight squeeze with all the shoppers and the rickshaws. We’ve got the Bajaj Supari Corner name on the board, and we’ve been at this spot for a long time. The shelves are packed with different kinds of supari and mouth fresheners. We spend a lot of our morning just sorting through the new arrivals and making sure everything is in its right place. The nutcracker makes a clicking sound all day while we prep some of the harder pieces. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit disorganized when we’re busy, but we usually know where everything is. Bapu Bazar is a noisy place, and the sounds of bargaining from the nearby cloth shops always drift in here. We don't really have a fancy way of doing things. We just open up the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the regulars to show up. Some people come in just to get a small packet of their favorite mix, and others buy in bulk for weddings or family functions. The air inside always smells like a mix of cloves and sweet scents. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local shop at 129-A where people can find what they need without a lot of fuss. It’s just how things are for us every day in the market.
