Baba Mishthan Bhandar

Baba Mishthan Bhandar is located on Sahkar Marg Road No 14. This part of the city sees a lot of traffic, so there is always a layer of dust on the front windows that we have to wipe off every morning. Inside, the shop is filled with the usual stuff you would expect to find in a local sweet shop. We have the refrigerated cases for the milk-based sweets and open shelves for the dry items. We get our milk delivered very early, and that is when the real work starts. The guys in the kitchen have been making these recipes for years, so they do not really need to measure things out exactly anymore; they just go by feel and smell. It is not a very fancy operation. The paint on the walls is a bit faded in spots and the chairs are simple wooden ones. People who work in the offices nearby often come in during their lunch break or after they finish work to take something home. We try to keep the prices fair so that everyone can afford a little treat now and then. Sometimes we have issues with the electricity or the fridge acting up, but we just call the repairman and keep going. We are just a regular shop trying to serve the people who live and work around Sahkar Marg without any big fuss or complicated rules.
