Art Mahal

You can find Art Mahal at 371, Ekta Path, in Vidyut Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on art. We have a variety of pieces here, some big and some small. The shop isn't set up like a museum; it's more like a workshop that has a front room for visitors. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make them fit. Dusting is a daily chore because we have so many small details on the items. We don't have a big team. It’s just us here, making sure the place stays open and that we can help anyone who walks in. We don’t go in for big, flashy displays. We just put things where they look okay and let people browse. Sometimes we’re in the middle of cleaning or organizing when someone comes in, so we just stop and talk. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We’ve been at this address for a while and the locals know where we are. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just want to provide some nice things and keep the business going. The afternoon sun hits the front window and makes everything look warm. It’s a good place to spend the day, even if it gets a bit crowded with all the inventory.
