Arihant Arts

Arihant Arts is located just outside the Jarawar Singh Gate on Amer Road. We are very close to Hotel Raj Palace, which is a big landmark around here. Because we are on the way to the famous forts, there is always a crowd outside. We get a mix of all sorts of people walking into the shop. We spend most of our time sitting among the various art pieces we have collected. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to keep many things in stock. We don't have a system for where everything goes; we just put things where they fit. Every morning we sweep the front because the road traffic kicks up a lot of dirt. It’s just one of those things you have to do in this city. We don't have a fancy website or anyone doing marketing for us. We just sit here and talk to whoever comes through the door. Some people stay for an hour just looking, and that is fine with us. We aren't in a big hurry to make a sale. We’ve been in this spot for many years and have seen the city change quite a bit. The gate is a beautiful sight every morning when we arrive. We just do our best to keep the shop running. It’s a quiet life despite the traffic noise outside. We just take things as they come.
