Annpoorna Sweets

We’ve been here at Ganesham Plaza G-1 for a good while now. Vidhyadhar Nagar is a busy spot, and we stay busy too. Every morning starts early, getting the milk ready and starting the first batches of sweets. It’s a lot of manual work. We don’t use fancy machines for everything because some things just taste better when you do it by hand. Sometimes the shop gets really crowded in the evenings when people are heading home and want something for dessert. We just try to keep the counters stocked. There are days when we run out of the popular stuff before 7 PM, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know the regulars by face. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on the food we put out. It’s a small space, so it gets hot in the summer with the stoves going, but we’re used to it. People stop by for a quick bite or to take boxes for weddings and festivals. We see the same faces every week. It’s nice to be part of the neighborhood like that. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making traditional sweets the way we learned. Most days are just about managing the rush and making sure the trays are clean and full for the next person walking through the door.
