If you go down to Indira Bazar, you’ll find us at 70-71. It’s a busy spot and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We have two shop spaces joined together so there is a bit more room for the stock. Every morning we check what needs to be made. The noise from the bazar starts early and doesn't really stop until late at night. We’ve got the old style scales and we spend most of the day weighing things out for people. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We mostly focus on the kitchen work. It's crowded in Indira Bazar, so we get all kinds of people stopping in. Some are just passing through and others live right around the corner. We don't have a big corporate team or anyone telling us how to talk to people. We just say hello and get them what they need. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the old fans, but we manage. My family has been doing this kind of thing for years. Amardeep Sweets isn't a huge name, but everyone in this part of the bazar knows where we are. We just try to keep the trays full and the floor swept. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but it’s honest work.
