Aaj Handicraft

Our place is located at 54, Maniharon Ka Rasta. If you know the area, you know it's narrow and always filled with people. We work with handicrafts, mostly things that take a lot of time to finish. It’s not a fast process. There is always the sound of tools and someone talking in the background. We have piles of materials everywhere. Some days it feels like there isn't enough space, but we manage. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It's more of a workshop feel. Most of the stuff we make ends up in homes far away, which is strange to think about while we are sitting here in this small lane. We don't spend money on fancy displays. If you walk in, you'll see us working. Maybe someone is drinking tea or counting stock. We try to keep things simple. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to dry certain finishes, so things slow down. We just wait it out. That's the way it goes with handmade things. You can't rush it. My grandfather used to say that the hands know what they are doing even when the mind is tired. We still follow that. We don't have a big marketing team. We just open the doors every morning and get to work on whatever is on the bench that day. Aaj Handicraft is just a small part of this busy street, and we're happy with that.
