You can find us at Daga Bhawan, which some people also call Jangid Bhawan, right on M.I. Road. Being near Laxmi Complex means there are always people around, even on the weekends. M.I. Road is one of the busiest spots in Jaipur, so there is always the constant sound of horns and people talking. Our building has a lot of history to it and you can feel it when you walk up the old stairs. The rooms are a bit uneven and the natural light doesn't always reach the back corners. We have our stock laid out on old wooden shelves. It’s not like a modern mall where everything is under bright spotlights. We prefer it this way. It feels more real to us. We spend a lot of our day just checking through the pieces and making sure everything is in its place. Sometimes the traffic is so bad it takes forever just to get to the front door in the morning. We see all kinds of people walking by, from tourists to locals doing their daily shopping. We usually have a small radio playing some old songs in the background to keep the mood steady. It’s a bit of a climb to get up to our floor, but most people don't seem to mind. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just run our business from this old bhawan and take things as they come.
